Individuals seeking permanent residence in Canada are set to benefit from a new and speedier application form.
London, UK (Pryce Warner International) July 21st, 2011 – In order more easily facilitate those wishing to reside permanently in Canada, the Canadian immigration authorities have introduced a new application form.
The new form is designed to process applications more quickly, thus making the process of relocation much easier on potential Expats. The new form is set to replace all previous residency forms, thereby creating a universal application process for both current temporary residents and new permanent residents.
The form is available to complete online and the use of computer technology is designed to make the process quicker, easier and more convenient.
Application forms will then be printed along with a bar code by the individual so that when the information has to inputted into the central system the process can be done much faster and with less potential for human error in the data entry.

Sponsorship applications have also been combined to create one sponsor application form.
Though the new process will undoubtedly make it easier for Expats to move to Canada, there remain several controversial hurdles to overcome.
Many Expats currently in Canada are protesting a pension freeze that means there pensions are held at the value they were when first withdrawn, effectively costing many Expats thousands of pounds.
In the current economic climate this is proving especially problematic as many retired Expats are finding that their income is unable to properly keep up with inflation.
David Harra, a Senior Market & Investment Analyst with Pryce Warner International, a financial services provider for Expats, commented: “Many Expats, especially those from Britain have rarely encountered significant problems when aiming to relocate to Cananda but it is still good to see that the Canadian government is committed to making it as easy as possible for people to relocate there. There are many reasons that Canada is a great country to emigrate to but it remains a risky place to retire. With pension rates still frozen for British Expats, it can be difficult for some to maintain a comfortable lifestyle in their autumn years. For this reason anyone considering moving to Canada would do well to consult with independent financial advisors to discuss options available to them that may help ensure their continued financial stability.”
